The Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA) at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) commissioned this study of media literacy programs for youth as part of a three-part series looking at media literacy trends around the world. The purpose of this report is to examine initiatives directed at educating children and youths about the importance of media to a democracy while giving them the skills to analyze and produce information. The other reports in this series—Media Literacy: Understanding the News and Media Literacy: Citizen Journalism—are available for download here.
