Planting Futures - Fall 2023

In fall 2023, 39 students and 16 community-based Learning Partners worked together in Social Impact Studios to co-create multimedia projects that will help advance environmental justice in Boston.

On December 13, 2023, over 100 people came together at Emerson College to celebrate those projects. These included a social media advocacy campaign with Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative, a poetic short film with Speak for the Trees, and two short documentaries with GreenRoots’ Environmental Chelsea Organizers, focusing on the youth experience in Chelsea and GreenRoots’ food justice efforts.
