June 13, 2018
Learn more
Boston Civic Media's fourth annual summer conference will convene researchers, activists and community leaders to envision the future of collaboration around climate change in Boston.

To confront the wicked problem of climate change, we must work together. The Boston Civic Media community will gather for the afternoon to build community across sectors and plot a shared agenda for taking climate action in the city. The event will feature a keynote presentation, a design thinking workshop, and a session for lightning talks open to participants who want to present their completed or ongoing projects, or seek out collaborations and partnerships.

Penn Loh will deliver the keynote presentation. Penn is Senior Lecturer and Director of the Master of Public Policy Program and Community Practice at Tufts University’s Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. He partners with various community base building organizations in the Right to the City Alliance and Center for Economic Democracy. From 1996 to 2009, he served in various roles, including Executive Director, at Alternatives for Community & Environment (ACE), a Roxbury-based environmental justice group.
